"The History of the Aconcagua is closely related to ancient cultures from the Andes, considered as a temple by the Incas. Special objects have been found at the base and outskirts, including a mummy that shows the importance the "Stone Sentinel" had for the original settlers.

Aconcagua´s the highest mountain of the Southern Occidental Hemispere and the highest summit of the American Continent. It`s one of the circuit of seven summit.

It´s also an important start for high altitude climbing, because it`s elevation, geographic and climatic conditions that constitute and ideal place for moderate demands, and also to prepare for stronger sporting efforts that the peaks that are higher than 8.000 m demand, such as certain summits in the Himalaya".
